Oh yes there would appear to be something wrong. By my figures you are getting about 14 mpg. I have to ask are you driving with the parking brake partially set or not in the correct gear. I'd suggest you take it back the dealership and have it checked out.

A lot depends on how you drive. If you started it up and let it idle until it was empty, you would get 0mpg. If you stood on it in low gear over and over, you might only get 3-4 mpg

Fuel economy does have a lot to do with how a person drives their vehicle but if you feel there is something wrong with your 2014 Jeep Compass you may want to schedule and appointment with your local Jeep Service Center and have the vehicle the checked out.

Are we talking city or all highway? Remember you've only got a 13 gallon tank. The Compass has a very best of 22 city and 28 hwy. If you spend a lot of time stuck in traffic or idle expect that 22 city to drop sharply. If you drive hard it'll get even worse. You haven't mentioned if that's city or hwy or your driving style so it's hard to say but 13 gallons isn't much.
I would still expect more than 200 miles but without any more info its hard to guess. If you think something is wrong have the dealer look at it.
