I bought my Jeep September of 2009. First problem was that the heat/ac would only work on high. Go that fixed. Then my water pump went, dad fixed that (worked for Chrysler for 20 years). Then the check engine light came on, needed a new transmission control module. Got it fixed. Check engine light still on saying there was a misfire so we replaced the spark plugs again. There was a misfire in cylinder 3 replaced the cylinder. Now my engine light comes on and off at random times. If I sit at a stop light the check engine light will blink even if it is off. I have an extended warranty but I wanted to see if anyone had similar problems and could give me some in sight. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I hate to say this but I think the people before didn't take too great of care of your Jeep. I've never heard of all this happening. Do you do routine maintenance? Check fluids? The oxygen sensor will kick on the check engine light, I've seen that happen a lot but I think it's more with your Jeep. I simply think the owners before toasted it.

Well it could be on for several reasons the first step is to pull codes. that check engine light, or service engine soon indicator lamp was tripped by a sensor, which tells your cars computer that something is not operating properly. what you can do first is take it over to a repair shop and tell the tech that you want him to pull and clear codes. he will give you a computer print out of what codes were tripped. from there just drive as normal. if the light comes back on right away, you know that something is wrong. that light could just be the guy at the gas station left your gas cap loose. I see this a lot in the newer vehicles.

I had a 97 jeep grand cherokee laredo, never had any problems like that... Bring it to the dealership, they could prolly fix it... actually with the warrenty hopefully they will fix it!!

rough life man huh?

I've heard rumors where some jeeps are just way to messed for anyone to like, where only a couple of them continuously break... But i don't know...

This does seem like a lot of gremlins. Must be a lemon. Hope the bugs get worked out.
