my resistor recently went out on my 97 wrangler sport. not all that uncommon for this vehicle. my problem is the wiring harness over heated and melted a little bit so i took it off, but forgot to write down the order. is there anyone that knows the wiring order from left to right on this vehicle. i have the haynes manual but it is one color off on the last wire. thanks

i dont how to fix this, but maybe quadratec.com or jcwhitney.com could help you. my sister has a 01 wrangler with 90,000 miles and they helped her with some problems

I do not know the locations for the wires either but I'm sure if you call a dealership they should help you out. I just wanted to give you some info. on your connector melting problem. Jeep G. Cherokees have the same problem with the resistor connector melting and what had to be done was to replace the blower motor, resistor, and the connector because the blower motor had to much high resistance melting the connector. But I would do what you're doing just replacing the resistor and connector. Just keep in mind if you have this problem again replace the blower motor, resistor, and connector. Good luck!!

There is a story in JP magazine on how to fix this from a few months ago i have looked on the web site for it couldnt find it perhaps you can write them. I know the fix was to replace with a higher wattage switch or something. Looked cut and dry that was a problem with quite a few Tj's. Write JP they will help...
